They got the coffins by pure chance. Leith was packing some Halloween props into his storage locker in Richmond when he was approached by a guy who asked if he was interested in coffins. Leith said yes, and a week later was loading three up in his truck -- at a mere $100 each.

"A guy tried to import these coffins, which are made of a thick papier mache with a wood veneer," relates Flitt. "But because they're so light they didn't really sell."
