Scariest Place for Halloween A ghoul's guide of the best locations to be frightened out of your mind as darkness descends -- 6478 Dunbar Street, in Vancouver. This year, hundreds of people say the display is worth seeing in the daytime in addition to the evening. People describe this house area as unbelievable, and mind blowing. The yard is filled with zombies, ghouls and creatures of the night. One structure is completely covered in cobwebs. The first clue that something strange is going on is the legless torso crawling up the driveway, blood and guts spewing out where his legs should be. Behind him a giant purple winged creature with nasty vampire fangs and red-green eyes is slithering out of a pile of leaves. Off to the side, a corpse is flinging open a coffin, beckoned by a couple of mummies, and maybe tickled by a snake that is coming out of his innards. For most people, these elaborate props would constitute a deluxe Halloween display. But for Brad Leith and Gideon Flitt, it's just the beginning. The front yard of their Southlands home has been transformed into a zombie graveyard filled with the undead rising out of the earth. The second storey facade has been done up in a "French Quarter" theme, complete with a guillotine and a trio of severed heads in a basket. Off to the side is Clown Alley, featuring all manner of evil movie clowns, including Chucky from Child's Play and the clown from Stephen King's It. Next door is a "Zombie Christmas," where Ma and Pa Zombie proudly watch their son rise from his coffin, maggots spilling out of his body. There are literally dozens of ghouls, ghosts and monsters on display, not to mention lifeless figures hanging from trees, spider webs covering most everything and several witches' cauldrons boiling over with mist. My favourite scariest place is at 6478 Dunbar Street -- few street lights, long driveways, lots of hay, pumpkins, zombies, ghouls mask and scary figures. These photos were taken at the night. Every year there is a different theme with new sets, new costumes and new surprises at 6478 Dunbar in Vancouver. In addition, there will be mask making, face painting, the Haunted Children's Farmyard with zombies, ghouls, spooky animals, and other activities. View these large photos to appreciate its true horror! The halloween horror house located at 6478 Dunbar Street, this is an incredible Vancouver Canada tribute to scariness...
